Calling All Animal Lovers: Volunteer With Us!

If you’ve ever wanted hands-on experience caring for large animals in a safe, welcoming environment—this is your chance.

Donkeys of Pahrump is a small public sanctuary where every animal has a name, a story, and a second chance at life.

We care for a lovable mix of gentle animals, including:

  • Daisy, Peaches & Bella – our sweet standard donkeys

  • Boax – a charming Welsh pony

  • Faith – a senior miniature pony with a shy spirit

  • Jax – our tiny, elderly mini donkey

  • Kay – a blind Appaloosa horse with a heart of gold

Please note: Some of our “babies” weigh over 500 lbs and love to play! Volunteers must be at least 12 years old, and anyone under 18 must be accompanied by an adult. We do not recommend bringing small children to volunteer.

What Volunteering Looks Like

Our daily routines are simple but meaningful. Whether you're here short-term or looking for long-term involvement, we welcome all skill levels. We’ll train you, support you and even connect you with adoption resources if you want to explore more.
